Reiki

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a way of channeling healing energy safely and naturally, based on the application of Universal Life Force Energy (the name literally means Universal Life Force Energy)

Reiki is one of the more widely known forms of healing through direct application of Chi (energy).  Chi is the term used by the Chinese mystics and martial artists for the underlying force the Universe is made of.  Reiki balances and harmonizes energy.  If there is too much or not enough energy in an area of the body, then that area is out of balance.  By the placing of hands, Reiki makes its way to areas of imbalance during a treatment, bringing balance and enhancing potential for self healing.

Focus Center uses a Client-Centered approach.

Client-Centered therapy allows the client to participate in the therapy session, allowing for the sessions to be more comfortable and acceptable for your desired outcome.  Each session will be specifically tailored to the individual.

The initial session consists of the following elements:

  1. Pretalk
  2. Session
  3. Post Talk or Review

In the "Pretalk" we discuss what you want to heal.  At this time we will discuss what is troubling you and explore the possibility of other causes for matter at hand.  It may be that what you thought your problem was, is really rooted in something else.  We work on the "whole picture".

Your session is done with soft music in the background.  You sit in a comfortable chair or day down on a Massage table.  A pillow and blanket is provided if needed for comfort.  Your therapist explains as he goes so you're not surprised or uncomfortable with the procedure.

Last is the Post Talk/Review.  Here, you discuss how you feel and any suggestions or questions you have.  You're allowed as much time as you feel you need to discuss and review your session.  We don't want any client to leave with questions.
